Franklin’s XRP ETF Buys $2.25 Million as Bitwise’s Fund Sells: Is Wall Street Losing Interest in XRP, or Just Waiting?

U.S. spot XRP exchange-traded funds recorded a net intake of $708,510 on Wednesday, October 21, marking their first inflow in a week, bolstered by a $2.25 million purchase by Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ. Meanwhile, the Bitwise XRP ETF experienced a $1.55 million outflow, following two flat days. The broader month of October has largely mirrored this pattern, forming the quieter side of the week’s XRP developments.

On the regulatory front, Ripple submitted a letter on Tuesday backing the SEC’s proposed Regulation Crypto Assets. Chief legal officer Stuart Alderoty shared on X that Ripple has “spent more than $150 million to get clarity” throughout its legal battle, though an implementation date for a final rule remains unconfirmed.

The price of XRP sits at $1.33, dropping 2.3% over a 24-hour period following a rejection close to $1.40 on Tuesday. This raises questions regarding who continues to purchase XRP ETFs and which price levels hold critical importance.

XRP News: How Much Are the XRP ETFs Taking In?

Inflows remain extremely low, driven primarily by a single fund. Across the ten trading sessions leading up to October 8, the five spot XRP ETFs secured a net $7 million, with $8.17 million arriving during just the first day. Half of those trading sessions saw zero flow activity.

Franklin continues to act as the consistent buyer, with XRPZ pulling in $14.06 million across three days during that timeframe. Conversely, Bitwise’s fund—retaining its spot as the largest by cumulative inflows at $680 million—dropped $4.56 million over the same period, while Canary’s XRPC lost $2.47 million on October 16.

The trading week spanning October 12 to 16 concluded with $1.83 million in net outflows, halting a 13-week streak of positive inflows. In comparison, Farside data indicates that U.S. spot Bitcoin funds gathered approximately $1.07 million from Monday to Wednesday of this week.

XRP ETFs are not facing aggressive liquidations, as total cumulative assets since their November 2025 launch remain at $1.72 billion. Market participants are simply holding back on expanding positions at current valuations.

XRP Price Analysis: Can XRP Hold $1.31?

Market Cap

XRP finds itself confined between distinct technical boundaries. Resistance is established near $1.37, where a daily swing high of $1.3661 sits just beneath the 50-day and 200-day EMAs, positioned at $1.3742 and $1.3747 respectively on the daily chart. Tuesday’s peak close to $1.40 serves as the subsequent barrier.

Immediate support lies at $1.31, aligning with the recent daily swing low of $1.3098, which is just two cents under the current asset price. A failure to hold this level exposes the next downside floor at $1.25, a point where buyers previously stepped in on October 18.

A confirmed daily close above $1.3747 would return XRP above both moving averages, placing $1.40 back within reach. Conversely, a close under $1.31 signals an impending retest of $1.25.

With Franklin maintaining steady, multi-million dollar purchases, the critical question for upcoming XRP news is whether the remaining four funds will participate before the market tests the $1.31 support level.
